Cobb v. Velocity Restorations: TPD Denied After Pay-Dispute Resignation

JCC denied Randall Cobb temporary partial disability benefits after finding no causal connection between his March 20, 2025 work accident and his April 2, 2025 resignation from Velocity Restorations.

The order credited employer testimony and text messages showing the separation followed a pay-structure dispute, not unmet work restrictions. Alternatively, the JCC found the resignation was an unjustified voluntary limitation of income because suitable administrative or CDL work would have remained available; penalties, interest, fees, and costs were also denied.
