Membership Terms of Service

Last updated November 2, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern the Kotler Law Legal Access Membership (the “Membership”) offered by Kotler Law, PLLC (the “Firm”). By purchasing a Membership, you (the “Member”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase a Membership.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a Membership. If you purchase a Membership on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business, and the Firm may ask you to verify that authority.

3. Services Provided

While the Membership is active, the Member may schedule unlimited 30-minute telephone or video consultations with a Firm attorney about the following matters (the “Covered Matters”):

  • Legal issues involving the Member’s business, such as contracts, vendors, employees, and leases;
  • New workers’ compensation issues on which the Firm does not already represent the Member;
  • Consumer defense issues, such as debt collection, credit reporting, and auto or repair disputes; and
  • General legal questions, including whether an issue is a legal matter and how to proceed.

4. Scheduling

All consultations must be booked through the Firm’s online scheduling system. Consultations are available Monday through Friday during business hours only; weekend and after-hours consultations are not offered. Time slots are first-come, first-served and depend on attorney availability. The Member may upload documents before a consultation so the attorney can review them during the call. Members who repeatedly miss scheduled appointments may have their booking privileges limited.

5. What the Membership Does Not Include

Unless the Firm and the Member sign a separate written engagement agreement, the Membership does not include:

  • Filing lawsuits, appearing in court or at hearings, or representing the Member in any case or dispute;
  • Drafting contracts, letters, or other documents;
  • Matters on which the Firm already represents the Member;
  • Disputes between the Member and another client of the Firm, or matters involving a conflict of interest;
  • Matters arising under the laws of a state other than Florida; and
  • Court costs, filing fees, service of process fees, or any other third-party costs.

6. Additional Services

If a Covered Matter requires more than a consultation, the Firm will explain the Member’s options and, if both agree, provide a separate written fee agreement before any additional work begins. The Firm is not obligated to accept any additional matter.

7. Attorney-Client Relationship

Each consultation creates a limited-scope attorney-client relationship that is limited to the advice given during that consultation. The Firm will keep information the Member shares during the Membership confidential as required by the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar. A broader attorney-client relationship is created only by a separate written engagement agreement.

8. Facts Provided by the Member

The Firm’s advice is based on the facts the Member provides. The Firm is not responsible for decisions made based on incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information provided by the Member.

9. Billing and Automatic Renewal

The Membership costs $199 per year. It renews automatically each year on the anniversary of the original purchase date, and the Member authorizes the Firm to charge the renewal fee to the payment method provided at purchase until the Membership is cancelled. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; the Firm does not store card numbers.

10. Cancellation

The Member may cancel at any time by calling the Firm at (813) 473-2618 or through the Firm’s contact page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the Membership stays active through the end of the current paid year.

The Firm may cancel a Membership immediately for nonpayment or a disputed or returned payment, lack of cooperation (including repeated missed appointments), dishonesty, mistreatment of Firm staff, a request to take action that would violate a law or rule, a conflict of interest, or use of the Membership for matters the Firm reasonably determines to be frivolous. If the Firm cancels for a reason other than the Member’s conduct, it will refund the unused portion of the current year. The Firm may also decline to renew any Membership by giving at least 30 days’ notice before the next billing date.

11. Refunds

Membership fees are nonrefundable except as stated in Section 10. The Firm may issue a refund in its sole discretion; doing so in one case does not waive this policy in any other.

12. Changes to Price or Services

The Firm may change the Membership price or scope with at least 30 days’ written notice before the change takes effect. If the Member does not cancel before the next renewal, the Member agrees to renew at the new price.

13. No Guarantee of Outcome

The Firm does not guarantee any particular result. Legal outcomes depend on the facts, the applicable law, and decisions by courts and other parties.

14. Not Insurance; Not Transferable

The Membership is a prepaid consultation arrangement between the Member and the Firm. It is not insurance and is not a group or third-party legal services plan. The Membership is personal to the Member and may not be transferred without the Firm’s written consent.

15. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising from the Membership shall be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Pinellas County, Florida.

16. Changes to These Terms

The Firm may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before they apply to an existing Membership.
